Jimbaran hosts a mix of upscale resorts (drawn by the calm bay and airport proximity) and quieter local guesthouses, without the dense mid-range villa cluster found in Canggu — a genuinely different accommodation profile from its more bustling neighbours.

Its proximity to Ngurah Rai makes Jimbaran a sensible first or last-night base — close enough for an easy transfer, without Kuta's density and noise, a genuinely underrated option for bookending a longer trip elsewhere on the island.
