Uluwatu's clifftop clubs lean into dramatic ocean views and sunset energy; Seminyak's beachfront clubs sit closer to town with easier access and a slightly more polished, established feel; Canggu's scene is younger and more casual, often blending surf culture with the beach club format. Each area's clubs have a genuinely different atmosphere worth matching to what you're after.
03How pricing actually works
Most beach clubs operate on either an entry fee, a minimum spend requirement (redeemable against food and drink), or both — particularly on weekends and during peak season, when day-bed reservations can also carry a separate charge. This is a real cost layer beyond just ordering a drink, worth checking specifically before you commit to a full day at one, since it can add up to a genuine splurge compared to a standard beach day.
04Etiquette & what to expect
Reservations are strongly recommended for weekends and peak season at the well-known clubs — turning up without one can mean no day bed availability at all. Dress codes are generally relaxed (swimwear is fine) but some of the more upscale clubs enforce a "no wet clothing at the restaurant tables" rule, worth knowing if you're planning to move between pool and dining.
