Event confirmed for Sunday 8 November 2026. Registration is limited and price/availability can change, so use the official registration page as the final check before paying.

If you are in Bali in early November and fancy a social run rather than a serious race morning, this is one of Kuta's established annual events. Rock N' Run 2026 is the 23rd chapter of Hard Rock Hotel Bali's 5K charity fun run, with a 6:00am start and a beachside route towards Legian before looping back to the hotel.

Quick answer Race day is Sunday 8 November 2026. Gates open at 5:00am, the 5K starts at 6:00am, and the start/finish is at the main entrance of Hard Rock Hotel Bali in Kuta. Regular adult 5K entry is currently listed at Rp450,000.

01 What is the Hard Rock Run Bali 2026?

The event's official name is Rock N' Run 2026: 23rd Chapter – Save The Planet! It is a 5K road fun run organised by Hard Rock Hotel Bali. Locals, expats, holidaymakers, families and running communities all fit the brief: this is deliberately more social than a conventional road race.

The annual event also has a charity purpose. The 2026 beneficiary is Yayasan Green Books Indonesia, with funds directed to its Zero Waste School Program. The project aims to give schools both sustainability education and the practical systems needed to build long-term zero-waste habits.

02 Date, start time and venue

Race day: Sunday 8 November 2026. Gate opens: 5:00am. Race start: 6:00am. The venue is the main entrance of Hard Rock Hotel Bali on Jalan Pantai Kuta, directly opposite Kuta Beach.

That early start is a good thing. Kuta is cooler and quieter around sunrise, although the hotel is in one of South Bali's busiest areas, so allow more time than you think you need for transport and walking to the start.

03 The 5K route

The organiser describes the course as starting at Hard Rock Hotel Bali, heading towards Legian Beach and then looping back to the hotel. It is a road 5K rather than a trail event.

Do not plan around an unofficial GPS trace from an older edition: annual city events can change turns, traffic controls and turnaround points. Follow the 2026 race briefing and route map supplied by the organiser.

04 Registration fees and categories

At the time of our 2 September check, the registration platform lists regular adult 5K entry at Rp450,000. Super Early Bird and Early Bird adult allocations are already shown as sold out. Non-running jersey collector entries are listed separately for adults and children.

The registration page contains inconsistent pricing for the kids' runner category in different sections, and availability is limited. For that reason we recommend checking the live category selector rather than relying on a copied price.

05 What runners get

The organiser says registered runners receive a race jersey, finisher medal, bib, goodie bag and refreshment. Jersey Collector entries are for people who want the event shirt without running and include the jersey only.

There are also prize categories for the first three men and women, a family category for parents and registered children, and male and female best costume awards — very much in keeping with the event's fun-run atmosphere.

06 Race-kit collection

Race packs are scheduled for collection at Hard Rock Hotel Bali from 2–6 November 2026, 11:00am–4:00pm. The organiser states that all packs must be collected by 4:00pm on 6 November.

If you are flying into Bali specifically for the event, do not arrive late on Saturday assuming race-morning collection will be available. Build packet pickup into your travel plan.

07 Parking, lockers and what to bring

The event information specifically warns that there is no event parking at the hotel. Limited two-wheel parking is offered across from the hotel, so anyone arriving by car should arrange drop-off or another parking plan and expect a short walk.

There are also no lockers or storage facilities listed for the event. Bring as little as possible — phone, ID, a little cash and your key in a secure waist belt or small running pouch. Wear your bib on the front of your shirt.

08 Where to stay for an easy race morning

For the simplest morning, stay in Kuta or the southern end of Legian so you can walk or take a very short ride to the start. If you are staying in Canggu, Ubud, Sanur or Nusa Dua, pre-book your transport and leave a generous buffer.

After the run you are already opposite Kuta Beach, with Legian and central Kuta within easy reach for breakfast and a recovery wander. See our best areas to stay in Bali guide if you are deciding where to base yourself for the wider trip.

09 Why the 2026 charity theme matters

The 2026 chapter uses the theme “Save The Planet” and supports Green Books Indonesia's Zero Waste School Program. That gives this edition a specific local environmental focus rather than treating sustainability as a generic race slogan.

Hard Rock Hotel Bali has used Rock N' Run as an annual fundraising event for different Bali causes. The 2025 edition supported Bali Bersama Bisa's mental-health work, while earlier editions have raised funds for environmental projects including Sungai Watch.

10 Is it worth entering?

If you want a flat, accessible 5K with a strong social atmosphere, a central Kuta start and a charity component, yes — this is a good fit. Serious runners can still run it hard, but the event is designed to work just as well for families, groups of mates and visitors who simply want an organised Bali run on holiday.

Register early if you want a spot, collect your kit before Friday afternoon, travel light on race morning and use the official registration page for any late changes to price, availability or instructions.
